Description
When it's required to get soaked to make an image that may be worthy, I'll jump right in. That was the case when I photographed the Durgin Bridge in North Sandwich, NH on a chilly October morning. I always bring my water shoes, you just never know what this job has in store for you!
The bridge was built in 1869, and spans the Cold River at a length of 110'. This bridge was a replacement for 3 others that had been swept away during floods. The Cold River that flows under the bridge begins on the high slopes of Sandwich Mountain, located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It flows into the Bearcamp River near the village of Tamworth.
