Description
The exhilaration of experiencing the dawn of a new day on beautiful Mt. Desert Island is amazing. I knew I absolutely had to search for gorgeous scenes that included working fishing villages, mystical morning fog and views of the interior mountains. The view I found from Southwest harbor looking northeast into the Somes sound delivered the goods! Purely quintessential New England seascape.
Small little hamlets such as Southwest harbor are loaded with conventional tools of the lobster fishing trade that perk my "interestingness radar". A great deal of time during daylight hours goes into scouting trips to plan for these beautiful serene moments, to capture the rich warm tones and stillness of the golden hour.
After the magical morning light of this day had ended and the photo session of this picturesque harbor slowed down we quietly drove over to the village country store which had recently opened for the day. I purchased a coffee for myself and a green tea for my assistant/wife and we just sat for a while to soak in the moment. Life can be so rewarding. It's all about the journey.

Hello! I love this photograph. Acadia is one of my favorite places on earth! I'm wondering about the colors in the photo. The website shows the photo with rich orange/pink of sunrise, and when I click on the items for purchase (canvas print/framed print/art print, etc.) the photo shown has more muted oranges/pinks. Which is the more accurate coloring of the photo when ordered as a framed print? I love the more muted colors and would prefer that. Thank you!
