Description

The quest for dynamic Fine Art photographic images brings me to many unique destinations across North America. To find images that tell a story, and express my feelings. From grand landscapes to hidden nooks, there are always scenes that people can relate to and bring back fond memories or a vision quest for places they have not experienced.

The coastal region of Maine offers many wonderful opportunities for myself to find beautiful landscapes, seascapes and harborscapes. From the mid-coast to Down-east Maine, idyllic picturesque harbors and fishing villages dot the entire coast. Rockport, Camden, Bar Harbor to Somes Sound. Neddick to Kennebunkport, Wiscassett to Vinalhaven. Beauty abounds.

This amazingly serene harbor just reaps quintessential New England seascape! The calmness literally permeated my very soul, the faint sound of a distant fog horn finding it's way into the harbor and the scent of the salt water are forever imprinted in my memory. Just before this image appeared to me, I had made several gorgeous exposures of a rustic lobster shack engulfed in the morning mist. The fog slowly lifted and more intimate scenes slowly revealed themselves to me. The first rays of light were just about to illuminate parts of the harbor and I wanted to capture the faint, soft golden rays. Without a single ripple, reflections of the dinghy's appeared as if the watercraft were set on a virtual mirror.
