Description
Jordan Pond and it's surrounding forested mountains comprise one of Acadia's most dramatic scenic landscapes. I have composed from various locations along the ponds rugged shores photographing scenes for nearly a decade under various lighting conditions and totally unique moods. This may be my favorite capture, during the October foliage season.
Being here very early is critical. I'm familiar with the lay of the land and it was promising to be a beautiful sunrise. This image captures the moments just before sunrise when alpenglow is reflected off the clouds. You should Embrace these moments!
