I have a never ending fascination with mother natures talented skill for sculpture! It may take thousands of years, but she sure does have a flair for the dramatic. This is a very intimate view of a narrow slot in New Hampshire's Franconia Notch region.
This is a semi-abstract in nature, purely concentrating on the shapes texture and colorful tones.
The sculpted pink Conway Granite provides the warm tones and smoothly contoured lines that work so well with the cool blue flowing waters of the Pemigewasset River.

Bring waders or high waterproof boots, I was almost waist deep getting to this point and the granite beneath the water is pretty slick.
