Description
The 1970 Plymouth Duster 340. One of the most underestimated Muscle cars of the era. The Duster model roots evolved directly from the A-body 1967-69 Plymouth Barracuda. In 1970, MoPar made sweeping changes with regards to styling by adapting a fuselage design. The 340 Duster was introduced as Plymouth's top dog A-body performance option, while the Barracuda name navigated to the new E-Body pony car design. Plymouth had high hopes to catch lightning in a bottle a second time, as the 1968 Road Runner was wildly popular.
This featured and fully restored 1970 Plymouth 340 Duster sports its original color (FY-1) Lemon Twist and vintage Rallye wheels, along with the factory stripe kit and tiny V-8 emblem below the 340 Duster swirl logo on the fenders. It also maintains the numbers matching 340 engine block as well as its original transmission. The paperwork for the vehicle indicates the dealership installed the go-wing trunk lid spoiler.

That is even better! Great story...and congratulations on such excellent work. I had a '74 Duster...but it was not a 340.

That is probably the best example of a Duster that I have seen in years.

Hey thanks for the compliment :) My brother and I actually restored this car. I purchased in in 2007, we completed the resto in 18 months. 100% numbers matching car. At the Carlisle Chrysler Convention in 2009, my Duster was determined to be one of the 'top 10" - '70 340 Dusters in existence. We won either 1st or 2nd place Plymouth 4 times at the Musclepalooza events.
