Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Quintessential New England right in the Litchfield Hills! An old classic saltbox-style red barn in Kent Connecticut's pastoral countryside on a chilly winter morning. To achieve the painterly appearance of this winter farmscape imagery, as though it were painted on canvas, I added what is known as a semi-transparent texture layer.
