While exploring the scenic country roads of Vermont I seek to find scenery that speaks of Vermont's rural nature. This is one such scene I happened to cross on a primitive dirt road north of Pomfret and Woodstock.
I loved the pairing of the old hay-rake and the left leaning Apple tree in the rolling pastures. The sunlight had been peeking occasionally from behind the clouds, noticing when the big meadow on the hillside became illuminated the entire landscape took on a new life!
I was set up with the composition I wanted, then just waited patiently for the sunlight to illuminate the backdrop. When it did, I knew I had captured the scene that captured both Vermont's beauty and rural nature
