Description
Flume Brook in New Hampshires scenic White Mountain region takes a plunge of 46 feet and becomes the ever beautiful and elegant Avalanche Falls. The waterfalls is located near the base of 4459 ft. Mt. Liberty in Franconia Notch State Park.
The falls were formed during a catastrophic natural event in 1883. A rainstorm event created an enormous landslide and the Flume Brook was created in the aftermath. The same flooding rains swept away the giant suspended boulder that was discovered in the Flume Gorge in 1808.
About the artwork: this long exposure captures the ethereal flow of water during New Hampshires peak fall foliage season. This image is sharp and highly detailed, and will look very impressive as a framed print or even a canvas wrap.
