I happened to be at the right place while wandering about central Vermont one early October morning. The sun had barely cracked the horizon when I first spied the historic village of Plymouth Notch. The grass was soaked with dew from the chilly autumn nights. Being it was my first time here in nearly 20 years I had to reacquaint myself and find if any scenes inspired me. This is the boyhood home of President Calvin Coolidge from 1872 to 1887.
I had a strong attraction to the center of the historic village. When the lighting was appropriate, I splayed my tripod legs wide to get my camera body just below the carpet of leaves for this unique upward shot.
